Chronic Victims of Celebrity Romance Imposter Frauds

Speakers:
Kim Casci-Palangio is the Director of the Romance Scam Recovery Group, for the Cybercrime Support Network. This program is in its 4th year and was developed to assist those affected by online romance fraud in a peer-to-peer setting. This counselor led program provides participants a safe environment to work through the loss, embarrassment and isolation that accompany this crime. Kim received her secondary education degree and a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from Rhode Island College and came to CSN after over 20 years of government service at the city, state and federal level.
Ally Armeson, as the Executive Director at Cybercrime Support Network, spearheads initiatives dedicated to empowering our society to recognize, report, and recover from cybercrimes. In this role, Ms. Armeson leads the Military and Veteran Program, providing cybersecurity awareness resources and training to servicemembers, veterans and their families. She also oversees the Romance Scam Recovery Group, which provides support to victims of romance fraud. Previously, Ms. Armeson served 10 years in the US Army, where she created and implemented humanitarian assistance projects focused on improving governance and infrastructure in developing countries.
